Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced its Living Heart Project cooperation with Dassault Systems to drive Digital Transformation in Cardiovascular Science through Bio-Physical Simulation. To develop and evaluate realistic digital simulations of the human heart, the project brings together an ecosystem of cardiovascular researchers, educators, medical device makers, regulatory authorities such as the US FDA, and practicing cardiologists.

 

The initiative will develop game-changing medical solutions such as using cardiac simulation as a source of digital proof for future cardiovascular device approvals. The initiative involves in-silico clinical trials, which could supplement clinical subject evidence while minimizing the requirement for animal testing and human enrolment in clinical trials.
